Pre Pregnancy Tests
Before embarking on pregnancy, there is few things that need to check out to ensure healthy pregnancy outcome :
- Vaccination status ,namely Chicken pox and rubella
- Normal levels of vitamin D
- Optimise levels of blood sugar and thyroid hormones

Antenatal care prepares a women for the birth of their baby and motherhood. It includes your check-ups and antenatal testing. Usually, a women will have their first antenatal visit at approximately eight (8) weeks after your LMP (last menstrual period).
Antenatal tests inform women about the important steps to take to protect their newborn baby and to ensure a healthy pregnancy. The tests can help prevent complications.

The birth of your baby is likely to be one of the happiest days of your life.
It can be an emotional rollercoaster. Postnatal depression is common in new mothers. It is important to know that this is treatable and it does not mean that you are a bad mother.
Many mothers look for support from other mothers. It is important to differentiate between real and “perceived” peer pressure.
Patients are urged to contact Batool if they notice any of the following symptoms:
- Low mood
- Feeling inadequate, worthless, hopeless, helpless, empty or sad often being close to tears
- Feeling irritable or resentful
- Fear for the baby and/or fear of being alone with the baby
- Feeling unmotivated and unable to cope with a daily routine
- Withdrawing from social contact and/ or not looking after yourself properly

Step 1 – Your Initial Referral
To see Dr Batool Nadim ( Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, Sonologist) you need a referral letter from your General Practitioner (GP) or referring medical specialist. While you are waiting to get your referral letter you can contact our rooms to make an appointment
Step 2 – Ultrasound Referral
If you are having an ultrasound with Dr Batool Nadim as part of your appointment, you also need to bring an ultrasound referral.
For your convenience, you can download an ultrasound referral below to take to your doctor. This will assist them the complete the necessary referral, which is required with your O&G referral letter.
To download an ultrasound referral to see Dr Batool Nadim, please click the image to the right. Once it downloads (please look in your download folder), please print it and take it to your treating GP or another medical specialist to complete.
Step 3 – Your Appointment
On the day of your appointment please ensure you bring your O&G referral letter and the ultrasound referral letter with you. For your convenience, you can upload it in advance by using our contact form.

Dr Batool Nadim is passionate about caring for women during their pregnancy. Batool is highly experienced in managing different types of high-risk pregnancies, including, twins, high risk caesareans and other medical conditions that may occur during the birth of your baby.
Dr Nadim is a consultant obstetrician with visiting rights at Norwest Private Hospital in Bella Vista and Hawkesbury District Health Service in Windsor New South Wales, making it accessible for people in Norwest Western Sydney. Batool cares for Women during labour by organising the delivery suite midwives at Norwest Private Hospital or Hawkesbury District Health Service Windsor, where Batool will be present with you for the birth of your baby. Should you require extra assistance during the birth, such as instruments or a caesarean section, Batool will be by your side to take control as required. After delivery, Batool will provide postnatal care and organise any appropriate follow-up appointments. Batool’s looks after the well-being of her patients by organising an anaesthetist 24/7. If you deliver your baby with Dr Batool Nadim, you do not need to worry about asking about pain relief during labour.

Dr Batool Nadim Antenatal care looks after your health and the health of your baby during your pregnancy so she can find and treat any concerns early on.
Batool cares for her patient’s and her patient’s newborn baby immediately after the birth. Postnatal care is available in private and public hospitals.
